Who benefits most from a home visit
- Anxious cats — many cats are calmer, and easier to examine properly, on their own ground.
- Senior pets with arthritis or heart disease, for whom travel is hard.
- Large dogs who are difficult to transport by rickshaw or CNG.
- Litters and multi-cat homes, where bringing every animal to the clinic is impractical.
- Recovering pets, for wound checks after surgery.
What we can and can’t do at home
| At home | At the clinic |
|---|---|
| Check-ups and consultations | Surgery of any kind |
| Vaccination and deworming | Blood work and most lab tests |
| Wound checks and dressing changes | X-ray/imaging referrals |
| Medication and injections | Hospitalisation and drips |
Getting ready
Keep your pet in one room before we arrive (cats love to disappear under beds), have their vaccine card and medicines ready, and a table or clear floor space with good light. For a cat, a towel helps.
